Dutch Quality Transfer Certificate Awarded to Mohammad Al-Furaih

Agricultural engineer Khaled Aref praised the significant efforts of Kuwaiti agricultural expert Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Fraih, saying: Mohammed Al-Fraih fully deserves to be awarded the Dutch Quality Transfer Certificate, as he has been dedicated for many years to transferring modern agricultural methods—particularly modern Dutch agricultural technology—to the Arab world in general and to his home country of Kuwait in particular. He is a keen and meticulous follower of all agricultural developments worldwide, as he always makes a point of attending all agricultural exhibitions and never misses an opportunity, big or small, to visit advanced agricultural nations to view the latest agricultural equipment and supplies, bring back the most suitable ones, and improve the state of agriculture in Kuwait... He is now assisted by his sons, particularly Badr Al-Bakr, who manages the “Burgan” agricultural company, and his son Abdulrahman, who is currently pursuing a doctorate in organic agriculture—Organic—from one of the most prestigious Dutch universities focused on the present and future of productive agriculture worldwide. It is no surprise that the man owns two farms in both Al-Wafra and Al-Abdali, which he uses to conduct agricultural experiments beneficial to farmers. Muhammad Al-Fraih is the owner of the first modern national agricultural company in Kuwait, providing everything possible to farmers—especially in Al-Wafra and Al-Abdali—to assist them in farming and productive output. He previously managed the United Poultry Company efficiently in thelate 1970s through the early 1980s and served as president of the Poultry Breeders Association. He was appointed to the board of directors of the Public Authority for Agriculture and Fisheries for many years and helped establish a major company to transport farmers’ produce from agricultural areas to modern marketing centers in Kuwait.
