
Burgan Agri Wins Technology Transfer Award
Burgan Agri won an award in a competition organized by *Agriculture in the Arab World* magazine, having been selected as the best agricultural institution for improving Arab agricultural sectors through technology transfer, innovation, and agricultural research in the Arab world. The award consists of a certificate of excellence, and the prizes will be distributed at a grand ceremony attended by a number of Arab and international figures and representatives of companies operating in various agricultural fields. The ceremony will be presided over by His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Agriculture of the sisterly State of Bahrain on July 4, 1989. This competition is the first of its kind and began as an idea two years ago, following research and study, it was announced in July 1988. The jury selecting the winners is chaired by Dr. Salah Juma, Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative of the FAO in the Middle East.
