Steps for Successful Local Egg Distribution via Civil ID
The Ministry of Trade and Industry will approve subsidies for locally produced fresh eggs, which will be added to the ration card starting in January 2013. In light of this measure, which was requested by egg producers, important steps must be taken to ensure the availability of eggs in areas where subsidized goods are distributed. The following steps are proposed:- First - Establish egg collection units on farms using only plastic pallets, without sorting, inspecting, or packaging the eggs, and transport them to a single center. for sorting and packaging, and then distribute them under a single national brand. The government is required to allocate a service voucher in central Kuwait, such as in Sabah or by renting a temporary warehouse, etc., to distribute eggs throughout Kuwait. Second: All eggs must be stamped with a single stamp and packed in cartons with a uniform design labeled “Kuwaiti Eggs” (or “National Product”) or ("Fresh Eggs"). Third - Standardize the transport and handling fleet, define vehicle routes, and allocate a single transport vehicle to the distribution center or multiple centers depending on the quantity. Fourth - Establish a single department for distribution and accounting to facilitate distribution and streamline communication with the Ministry of Commerce’s requests. To reduce production costs, I recommend the following: - The Kuwait Flour Mills Company should purchase soybeans in bulk and distribute them directly to producers, similar to corn, and companies should centralize all purchases of disinfectants, chicks, medicines, etc. Establish an egg tray factory to produce 300–400 million trays. Establish a composting project to produce natural fertilizer for vegetables, trees, and green spaces. Establish a project to produce chilled or frozen liquid egg for fresh distribution to confectionery factories, food service companies, and hospitals, as health regulations prohibit the use of regular eggs in hospitals due to the risk of infection transmission. Establish a central feed mill with a capacity of 100 tons per hour to serve all producers, in addition to supplying the local and international markets. Establish a quality control department staffed with experts, veterinarians, and a fully equipped laboratory to provide advice and monitor vaccination and disease resistance. Establish a central hatchery to hatch day-old laying chicks and purchase eggs from the best global sources. Establish layer hen breeding farms to meet local production needs. Establish a unified project for the production of 4-month-old laying hens and their transfer to farms. These joint projects require cooperation among all companies, ministries, the Federation of Cooperative Societies, and relevant authorities to achieve the best price for consumers and the highest quality.
