Covering materials not recommended for greenhouses in Kuwait

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheets: The use of PVC sheets is not recommended under any circumstances for covering agricultural greenhouses in Kuwait, for the following reasons: The sheets soften at a temperature of 60°C and have extremely low tensile strength. They are highly sensitive to light and yellow rapidly after several months. They separate quickly after a short period of time. Polycarbonate Sheets: The use of polycarbonate sheets is not recommended in Kuwait’s conditions for the following reasons: rapid yellowing after one year of exposure to external factors, with a loss of light transmission of 15% per year. The surface erodes quickly and loses its luster and smoothness. Glass / The use of all types of glass in greenhouses in Kuwait is not recommended for the following reasons: Glass requires a heavy and costly structure. Glass is prone to breakage and is difficult to transport and install. It cannot withstand hail. It is not possible to seal the greenhouses tightly.
