Holland award for Fraih

Ambassador of the Netherlands, H.E. Joseph Veling, presented the Holland Agricultural Export Award to Mohammed I. Al Fraih of Burgan Agri-Food tries in a ceremony held recently.

The Agricultural Export Award is awarded by the Netherlands Minister of Agriculture to businessmen who, through their outstanding efforts, have made a long-term, significant contribution to the export and marketing of Dutch agricultural and horticultural products. The award, first instituted in 1986, has until now been presented twice within the Gulf area, both times to businessmen in Saudi Arabia.

The long-term, outstanding relations Mohammed Al Fraih has with Holland and Dutch companies fully justify his choice as recipient of the award. For over fifteen years he has done business with Dutch firms, importing and marketing a wide variety of products ranging from poultry-farms and green- houses to hatching eggs, one-day chicks and flower seeds. He promoted the use of Dutch technology and expertise to assist in the development of agriculture in Kuwait.

Mohammed Al Fraih has thereby made himself known as a man with expert knowledge of the agricultural sector, who is, moreover, extremely pleasant to do business with.

By establishing a durable business-relationship with the Netherlands, Fraih has contributed towards the cementing of the bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of the Neth- erlands.

The Export Award was presented during a lun- cheon at the residence of Ambassador Veling. which was attended by a number of prominent Kuwaitis.

The presentation was attended by the Dutch Agricultural Attache Herman Hilgeman, who is based in Riyadh.
